This award-winning British film began its evolution to the eventual The Full Monty by incorporating the label
"Chippendales" in the title. Creators opted, instead, for an honest story about an unemployment-ravaged town
(later adapted to Buffalo, NY) and its workers' fears, self-consciousness and personal worth. Critics describe
the show as "delightfully bawdy" and a "rare crowd-pleaser." Locals may remember that this musical began
its journey to Broadway at the Old Globe Theatre in Balboa Park. Consequently, audiences at our theatre
eagerly await its return to San Diego, so they can personally answer the question - "Will they or won't they?"
