Character Breakdown

Buffalo, NY working-class characters with an edge. Struggling and heartfelt, pop/rock sound.

Jerry Lukowski (30s-40) Unemployed mill worker. Good hearted working man, Single father on the verge of losing custody of his son. Average guy lost his way. Athletic. High rock baritone - tenor. Needs strong falsetto.

Nathan Lukowski (11-14) Jerry's young son. Typical kid. Struggles with parents' divorce. Smart.

Pam Lukowski (30s-40) Jerry's estranged wife. Intelligent - no nonsense. Still torn with feelings for Jerry.

Dave Bukatinsky (30s-40) Overweight unemployed mill worker. Struggles to lose weight and keep his marriage together. Great comic timing.

Georgie Bukatinsky (30s-40) Dave's wife. Loyal, loving, yet needs some excitement in her marriage.

Harold Nichols (40-55) Unemployed supervisor at the mill, desperate to hold onto his life and wife, educated yet socially awkward.

Vicki Nichols (30s-50) Harold's wife. Bubbly, somewhat wild, loving life. Strong comedienne.

Malcolm Macgregor (30s-40) Unemployed mill worker. Slight, shy, insecure, awkward. Lives with his controlling mother. Beautiful tenor. Needs strong falsetto.

Ethan Girard (20s-35) Unemployed mill worker, masculine, off-beat, lovable. Athletic. Obsessed with running up walls

Noah "Horse" T. Simmons (50s-60) African-American retired mill worker. No nonsense, soulful singer who can dance. Excellent R&B singer.

Jeanette Burmeister (50s-60s) Piano player of indeterminate years. Comedic. (Already cast. Cissy King of the Lawrence Welk show is playing the part of Jeanette Burmeister.)

Buddy "Keno" Walsh (20s-30s) Very handsome and buff male stripper. Must move well. (non-singing role).
